THE PEOPLE BEHIND ECRF
Our Story
Founded by Our Community, for Our Community
A foundation established by patients, survivors, and caregivers affected by endometrial cancer.
Where It All Began
For our Founder & President, Corby Arthur, the vision grew from her experience living with recurrent endometrial cancer. Navigating treatment decisions and limited options strengthened her determination to support research, expand treatment possibilities, and create opportunities for scientific discovery.
But Corby knew she couldn't build a foundation alone.
Bringing People Together
Through personal and mutual connections, Corby brought together Dana Mathews, Naomi Aziz, Amy Goldman, Jeanne Pasha, and Alicia Barosso, fellow members of the endometrial cancer community whose lives had been shaped by the disease.
As patients, survivors, and caregivers, they brought firsthand experiences alongside professional backgrounds in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, marketing, business development, patient advocacy, and community engagement.
Friends, professional connections, and experts from different fields also stepped forward to offer guidance and volunteer their time and talents, helping ECRF take shape.
Together, they began building an organization with the resources, knowledge, and skills available to them, grounded in the belief that those affected by endometrial cancer should have a voice in shaping its future.
Built by Volunteers, Growing Through Community
Today, ECRF remains an entirely volunteer-staffed nonprofit, supported by individuals who generously share their time, talents, professional expertise, and lived experiences.
Our volunteers include patients, survivors, caregivers, advocates, and professionals who contribute in different ways, united by a commitment to the endometrial cancer community.
What began as Corby's vision continues to grow through the people who believe in it, reflecting the same spirit that brought ECRF together: people supporting people, sharing what they know, and working toward better outcomes for those affected by endometrial cancer.
Our Story Continues
A community working together toward a better future for those affected by endometrial cancer.
